MEET OUR FOUNDER: BETH JONES
For the past 30 years, Beth has been helping new, young and seasoned Christians get (or “re-get”) the basics of faith — through writing, speaking and pastoring — and has seen life transforming results as the Bible dots connect. She's passionate about helping people get the Bible basics, to live the joyful, faith-filled life and do the eternal stuff!
As an author, Beth has written more than 20 books aimed at helping people learn and love the Bible basics! She has sold more than 250,000 copies of her flagship book, "Getting a Grip on the Basics" in America and thousands more have been distributed in more than 27 foreign languages around the world. As a speaker, Beth teaches the basics in a down-to-earth, humorous and practical way at churches, conferences, an online university and via television.
In May 2017, Beth and the basics team launched "The Basics With Beth TV" — a teaching television program which has aired nationally and internationally on numerous networks and several digital streaming platforms. She also writes "The Basics Devo" email devotional (free to sign up!) and creates digital learning experiences such as The Basics University, an online video-based discipleship platform, for thousands of subscribers.
Beth and her husband Jeff are the founders (since 1991) and Senior Pastors of Valley Family Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where they minister to thousands of people each week. Together, they have raised four kids who all love the Lord and are now starting their own families.
Beth received her BA in Communication from Boston University in Boston, MA and received her ministry training at Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, OK. She is licensed and ordained through RMAI.

The Basics University is an online, digital-discipleship platform designed to help you learn the basics of faith through numerous video-based courses. In today's digital (and busy!) world, we wanted to create a platform that allows you to invest in your spiritual development at your own pace, in your own space!
